Vacancies Reservation –

(a) Pay and Allowances. Pay & allowances for direct entry Havildar and Naib Subedar shall be same as applicable to existing Regular Serving Personnel of Indian Army as per provision of Army pay Rules, 2017 and amendments thereon.

(b) Pension. Pensionary benefits will be governed as per the extant provisions contained in Pension Regulations for the Army -2008 and amended from time to time.

(c) Other Benefits. All other benefits viz. CSD, medical facilities etc shall be applicable to them, as existing for Regular Serving Personnel of Indian Army and amendments from time to time.

Insurance cover. Insurance cover and deduction of premium will be applicable as per existing norms applicable for Regular Serving Personnel of Indian Army.

Post-Retirement Benefits


(a) ESM Status. On release from service, the personnel enrolled under this entry shall be entitled to ESM status on completion of initial term of Engagement or as per the provisions contained in ex-servicemen (re-employment in civil services and posts) Rules, 1979, as amended from time to time. ESM quota for employment in Government Jobs, availing ESM facilities of Central/ State Government etc will be applicable to DE Hav & JCOs.
(b) ECHS Facility. Grant fo ECHS facilities to the persons enrolled under this scheme will be governed by the provisions contained in Central Organisation ECHS, AG’s Br IHQ of MoD letter No B/49701-PR/AG/ECHS/2019 (as amended from time to time).
(c) CSD Facilities. CSD facilities to such persons will be applicable as per the provision contained in AO 2/2006 QMG (amended from time to time)

Mandatory Medical Standards


(a) Medical examination of candidates who qualify in Physical Fitness Test, Physical Standards Test & Skill Test will be conducted by Army Medical Team at the trials site as per Army Medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.
(b) Unfit candidates will be referred to MH for specialist review. Candidates to report designated Military Hospital within 05 days from referral and review medical exam to be completed by Military Hospital within 07 days as per policy.
(c) The recruitment medical officer and the specialist doctors of Armed Forces are the final authorities on declaring a candidate fit or unfit during initial med examination, review medical examination and med examination prior to enrolment. The candidates shall be governed by Army standards which may be at variance from civil standards. There is no provision for representation or appeal or re-review after the review medical examination.
(d) Passing in the medical examination is not a guarantee for employment in Indian Army.

  • Selected candidates through Document verification will be tested in Technical skills in their relevant / required trade.

Age Limit –

  • The age limit for enrollment will be from 17 ½ to 25 years should have completed 17 ½ on the first day of enrollment and must have not crossed 25 yrs on the last day of enrollment.
